These Terms and Conditions, and your use of our website, are governed by Irish law and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish court. This does not affect your non-excludable European statutory rights.
This website and our Terms and Conditions have been designed for use within the Republic of Ireland and under Irish law. These Terms and Conditions cannot be varied except for changes made by us on this site, which we may carry out occasionally. In particular, nothing said by any representative of Activesport Dublin / Wicklow will operate as a variation of these Terms and Conditions or will constitute a legal representation.
A contract between you (the customer) and Activesport Dublin / Wicklow for courses will only exist once an order has been accepted and processed and payment made. This does not affect your statutory rights. Your order is an offer, not a contract between you and Activesport Dublin / Wicklow, until you receive a ‘confirmation of order’ email despatched once card authorisation has been confirmed and availability has been checked.
Activesport Ireland must receive full payment for your order before it can be accepted. Once payment has been accepted through Stripe and availability checked, we will send you an email confirming your order. Please keep a copy of this confirmation for your records. In exceptional circumstances, if we are not able to fulfil an order once it has been accepted, we will refund you through stripe within 7 days and we will notify you by email. Under no circumstances will we be liable to you for any additional amounts. We reserve the right to refuse to supply to any person for whatever reason.
The definition of the word “term” will equal a minimum of six consecutive weeks and will not necessarily correspond to a school term.
The online booking form is an essential part of booking children for Activesport Dublin / Wicklow Classes. Unless a booking form is completed a child may not attend an Activesport Dublin / Wicklow class, the Medical Question on the form is a vital part of the form for the Company to know of any special aspects of a child’s health. Failure to complete all aspects of the form, which at a later date reveals a reason why a child should not have been enrolled for a class will result in the parents being asked to remove the child from the class without refund.
Sport is a physical activity and although every step is taken to insure the safety of all children – accidents sometimes happen. Please refer to the Accident / Incident procedure in our Child Welfare & Protection Document under the Policies tab.
It is the responsibility of the Parents or Guardians to inform the Company, either on the form marked Medical Issues or by calling / emailing the ActiveSport Office, if they consider their child might be at risk from partaking in any aspect of the class for which they have enrolled the child. IN THIS INSTANCE the Company reserves the right to ask the parents to give the Company a letter from their doctor, stating the physical fitness of the child to participate in the sport that the parents have chosen for the child.
Failure to produce a letter from a medical doctor, after being asked to do so, will result in the Company asking the parents to remove the child from ActiveSport classes. A full refund will be given. Once the Company has asked for the letter from a medical doctor the child may not attend the class until the letter arrives. Once the Company has the letter a refund will be given for the weeks missed by the child.
Your contract for our classes is made between yourself and Activesport Dublin / Wicklow Limited. For the most part our classes are of one hour duration. However in the case of sports where we use another school’s premises the time allotted to us may be less than one hour. This may not mean a reduction in the cost to parents as generally the company costs remain the same. If your class takes place in another school the agreement for the class is made strictly and only between Activesport Dublin / Wicklow and the school concerned.
If a parent goes directly to a school principal or organiser of a school where we hold classes (other than the one their child attends) for any reason, it will be seen as a vexatious act. This gross misconduct will result in the parent being asked to remove their child from our classes.
We do not give refunds for these bad weather days.
If your child is sick and misses two classes but returns to the class, we do not offer a refund for those two missed classes. If your child is sick and cannot return to the class we will give a full refund for the missed classes.
We use Stripe as a method of online payment. This is a separate entity to our website. Activesport Dublin / Wicklow cannot and are unable to save or store any card details used to pay for our classes. Stipe has their own Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy which you can read on their website. For easy access we have them linked accordingly.
An admin fee is incurred by any online payment and may not be refunded if a class is cancelled. Electronic payment to the Activesport Dublin / Wicklow bank account is possible by prior arrangement with the company office that can be reached at +353(0) 86 331 7289
If you don’t like buying online or don’t have a debit/credit card please call us on +353(0) 86 331 7289 or send an email and we will organise your order in a different way.
You may normally cancel your order (once accepted by us) for any reason up to the point of start of term. If you do cancel the contract within this time, any payments made by you will be refunded in full within 7 days. Activesport Dublin / Wicklow reserves the right to exclude any child that disrupts a class or deviates from our codes of conduct. Fees will be refunded in accordance with the weeks the child has attended.
Cancellations made by the customer up to 7 days in advance of the camp start date will be entitled to a refund of camp fee balance. A €20 deposit fee per child is non-refundable and non-transferable unless the camp is cancelled by ActiveSport
Due to the limit on camp places and the anticipated high demand, any cancellations made within 7 days of the camp start date will not be entitled to a refund.
In the event of overbooking ActiveSport will endeavour to offer an alternative - either refund/credit note or alternative camp/date.
We at ActiveSport reserve the right to cancel a camp, or change camp dates in the event of unforeseen circumstances and will not be held accountable or liable should activities be suspended or cancelled due to adverse weather or other events beyond our control including (but not limited to) war, strike, riot, crime, plague, hurricane, flood, earthquake, pandemic or volcanic eruption.
All prices quoted on this website are accurate at the time of publication and are quoted in Euro. There is no Irish sales tax (VAT) applicable for courses with Activesport Dublin / Wicklow.

We will not be liable to you or deemed to be in breach of the contract by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of its obligations in relation to the courses ordered by you if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond its reasonable control. We may assign or transfer any of its rights or subcontract any of its obligations under these Terms and Conditions to any third party. You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or subcontract any of your obligations under these Terms and Conditions except with the specific permission in writing of Activesport Dublin / Wicklow. No person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall have any right to enforce any term under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
